ABOUT Diana Doula
Birth and postnatal doula in Rugby, Warwickshire
Hi, I’m Diana, a birth and postnatal doula based in Rugby. Families across Warwickshire come to me when they want steady, evidence aware support, without the performance, the pressure, or the “one right way”.
I’m naturally quiet, observant, and hard to rush. That matters in pregnancy and birth, because when you feel safe, your body tends to work better, your brain makes clearer decisions, and everything gets a bit more… doable.
My work is built around a simple ethos: trust in birth. Not blind trust. Not “just breathe and everything will be fine”. Real trust, the kind that comes from understanding what’s happening, feeling supported, and knowing you have options.
What I actually do
Most people don’t need more information, they need help making sense of it. That’s where I come in.
I help you sort real risk from noise, and preference from pressure, so you can make decisions that feel steady in your body, not just “technically correct” on paper. We prepare in a way that respects physiology and your real life, and when things get intense or fast, I help you stay oriented, so you can communicate clearly and keep your voice in the room.
After birth, the support doesn’t stop. I’m there for the early days too, helping you settle into feeding and recovery within my scope, make sense of newborn behaviour, and protect the connection you’re building with your baby while you’re becoming a new version of yourself.
I’m not here to take over; I’m the calm extra brain and nervous system support, so you can stay in charge of your experience.
Feeling safe, seen, and supported isn’t a luxury add-on. It’s a biological advantage.
My Approach
I believe parenting starts in pregnancy, not on the day you bring your baby home. Pregnancy is when your nervous system begins adapting, your priorities shift, and your baby starts learning what “safe” feels like through you. Because of that, I’m not just interested in your birth plan. I’m interested in how you’re building trust with your baby and in your own instincts, from the very beginning.
What I bring into the room
I’m trained as an antenatal educator, hypnobirthing teacher, and parental brain educator, and I’m also a mother. So I bring the coursework and the lived reality. Both matter.
I don’t work in extremes. It’s not “trust your gut” with no facts, and it’s not drowning you in research until you can’t feel your own body anymore. It’s both. We look at the evidence so you can sort real risk from fear, and preference from pressure. And we leave room for intuition, because pregnancy, birth, and parenting are not a tidy spreadsheet problem (as much as some of us would love that).
My job is to help you feel informed and steady, so you stay the decision maker. Not me, not Google, not whoever speaks most confidently in the room.
Why I care so much about support
I was a mum on a mission to do it perfectly
Postpartum hit me hard, twice. With my now 5-year-old and 4-year-old, I found myself deep in the trenches of exhaustion and anxiety, spiralling through endless Google rabbit holes. Feeding, sleep, baby development, routines, “normal”, wake windows, the lot. My body was tense, my mind racing, and no matter what I tried, I felt stuck between my instincts and a flood of conflicting advice.
What I wish I’d known then (and what I now help mothers remember) is this: we are wired to expect support. Across cultures and history, mothers have had a village. Without it, everything feels heavier, lonelier, and harder.
You were never meant to do this alone.
So now, as a birth and postnatal doula in Rugby, I walk beside you with calm, clear presence. You can expect thoughtful questions, practical reassurance, and care that honours your values and your baby’s cues. There’s no one size fits all script here. Just support that helps you think, feel, and choose with more steadiness.
A note on culture, control, and “doing it right” ⬎
Having lived across cultures, I’ve seen there’s no single correct way to birth or raise a child. What matters is what fits your values, your circumstances, and your baby.
You don’t need more rules. You need support that helps you hear yourself.
If you’re looking for quick fixes, sleep training, or a doula who will override your instincts with a script, I’m not your person.
What families often say they feel with me
Families often tell me they feel less overwhelmed by all the information, and more able to slow things down and ask the questions they actually want answered. They feel more confident making decisions, even when plans shift, and more connected to their baby rather than stuck in their head trying to “get it right”. And postpartum, they often describe feeling more grounded, even when it’s messy, emotional, and nothing like the neat version they’d pictured.
If you want support that helps you trust birth, trust your baby, and trust yourself, you’re in the right place.
Client Love
I am incredibly grateful for the support I received from Diana throughout my pregnancy and birth experience. From the very beginning, she was knowledgeable, calm, and deeply reassuring. She took the time to explain every stage of pregnancy and birth in a way that was easy to understand, which helped me feel confident and prepared instead of anxious. She answered all my queries very well and also she explained them to me which really helped me in preparing myself for my pregnancy.
During my pregnancy, her advice was invaluable. She offered emotional support that truly made a difference in how I cared for myself and approached my birth. Whenever I had questions or doubts, she was always available, patient, and encouraging.
I truly believe my positive birth experience was possible because of her support and guidance. Her advices helped me in taking the right judgement for my delivery method.
I would highly recommend her to any expectant parent as she is compassionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated . She is not only highly skilled at what she does, but she genuinely cares, and that shows in every aspect of her work.

Why Families Work With Me: Doula Support in Rugby & Warwickshire
My Values
Grounded and Transformational.
Intuition
Not every decision can be researched into certainty. I’ll help you tune into what your body is telling you, and what your baby is showing you, alongside the evidence.
Embodiment
We keep you in your body, not just in your head. That’s not woo, it’s practical. Stress changes pain, stamina, and decision making.
Courage
Courage often looks like slowing things down, asking one more question, or choosing what’s right for you when the room is loud.
Self-Trust
I don’t hand you a script. I help you build the confidence to make decisions you can live with, and feel proud of how you showed up.
I have enjoyed every one of these courses
