As your Doula I’ll hand you science-backed truths in one breath and then ask, “But how does that feel in your body?”

You don’t just want to get through birth and early motherhood. You want to feel anchored, connected, and confident in the bond you’re building

Birth and Postpartum Doula in Rugby, Warwickshire

Doula support that honours your Connection, Instinct, and Knowledge

Hi, I’m Diana, a birth and postpartum doula based in Rugby, Warwickshire.

I support mums who know there’s more to this journey than just getting through it. You want closeness. Inner knowing. Confidence in your choices. A bond with your baby that begins right away, not only after the chaos settles.

I bring calm, grounded support through pregnancy, birth, and the early weeks. My work draws from lived experience, deep empathy, and the belief that you are already the expert on your baby.

Together, we’ll create the kind of care that helps you feel safe in your body, in tune with your instincts, and steady in your decisions when things get loud or uncertain.

Support for new mums in Rugby and the surrounding area

Brave. Connected. Anchored.

Mothers who trust themselves raise emotionally resilient humans, beginning from pregnancy.

MY VISION

For mothers to feel free to lean on their intuition, and raise children who are connected, secure, and whole.

MY MISSION

To walk beside mothers as they tune out the noise and return to their inner anchor, so they can nurture secure bonds through self-trust, embodiment, and deep connection.

You'll love this!

The Doula Effect

Empowering your birth journey with care, confidence, and presence

Having doula support doesn’t just feel good; it actually changes things. When you feel safe and held, labour is more likely to progress steadily, and the chances of needing interventions like a C-section or epidural are lower. Many mums also find they can stay more in tune with their bodies, need less pain relief, and feel calmer and more confident throughout.

Postnatally, the benefits ripple further. With steady support, mums often experience a stronger start to breastfeeding and are more likely to continue for longer. There’s also a noticeable impact on emotional well-being: lower rates of postnatal depression, less overwhelm, and a deeper sense of satisfaction with the whole experience. It all begins with feeling safe, seen, and supported.

The families I work with want to feel more connected to themselves and their baby. They’re looking for support that feels real and respectful, not clinical or rushed. You can expect sessions that are quiet, reflective, and centred on you. You will have support as you prepare for birth; I’ll be by your side when the time comes and support you in the early days with things like emotional check-ins, gentle reassurance, nourishing food, and a familiar face who understands.

You deserve to be reminded that you’re doing better than you think, and you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

The Mama Mind Map

Parenting shapes both your brain and your child's, creating a powerful bond of growth and connection

Your child is born with a much smaller brain compared to many animals. For example, macaques are born with 70% of their adult brain size, while your child’s brain is only 25%. This means your child needs a lot of care in the early years, and their brain is very flexible and ready to learn. The environment in which you raise your child plays a big role in their brain development, making your job as a parent incredibly important.

Research shows that your brain also goes through changes during pregnancy and the first year of your child’s life, similar to the changes that happen during adolescence. These changes help you better support and care for your child. Your brain becomes more attuned to the needs of your baby, especially in areas connected to emotions and motivation.

You and your child’s brains even synchronize, meaning your brain activity syncs with theirs, especially when you are interacting. This synchrony helps you bond and respond to your child’s needs more effectively. These brain changes support your ability to care for and nurture your child as they grow. Other factors, such as your birth experience, support system, and mental health, can also influence how your brain adapts to parenting.
